Academy Student presents research at Earth Gathering 2013
From 13 – 15 November, the UCD Earth Institute hosted the Earth Gathering event in Dublin. This 3-day conference gathered scientists, policy makers and industrialists together for a discussion of the ecological issues that need to be addressed to ensure a sustainable economy.
Innovation Academy student Vincent Mouchi presented his research at a poster session by students of the Earth & Natural Sciences Doctoral Programme and took part in one of 15 pop-up sessions which were organized around themes such as food, ecology and climate. Vincent discussed how his innovative research is working to tackle these challenges.
The Earth Gathering featured a presentation titled “Making a Difference: Science, Sustainability and International Partnerships” by Dr Kerri-Ann Jones, Assistant Secretary of State for the United States Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs.
