Malaysian academics complete Innovation and Entrepreneurship training at The Innovation Academy – TCD
A group of 20 Malaysian academics recently completed an advanced training course in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Innovation Academy, Trinity College Dublin. The delegates consisted of professors and senior lecturers from a variety of prestigious universities in Malaysia. The programme, generously funded by the Malaysian government, introduced participants to novel teaching methodologies in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship employed at the Innovation Academy. The curriculum was developed to aid participants in adapting or developing similar programmes in their home institutions. Participants gained an understanding of how postgraduate students from a variety of disciplines work together to provide creative solutions to real world problems in private, public and social enterprise. The programme included elements of creative thinking, design, venture planning and a number of visits to Innovation Academy host-partners such as Google, SAP, Citi and Enterprise Ireland.
