These videos were made by our talented PhD students during Core Module Two, ‘Opportunity Generation and Recognition’. Core Module Two assists PhD students in identifying the skills they need for the development and communication of their research. Digital video is hugely important in the 21st Century as a means of spreading information, and so the students were challenged to script, shoot and edit a 3-minute movie about their research.
Innovation Academy students are involved in research in diverse fields, from Archaeology to Sociology, History and Nursing. One of the biggest learning curves for any researcher is finding ways to communicate what they do, outside their discipline. Students work hard to find easy and accessible ways to talk about difficult and technical concepts.
We think they do a great job! What do you think??
