Uniquely, the programme brings together a dynamic community of multi-national postgraduate students, from the arts, humanities, business, science and engineering to spur them into action. Students who participate in the whole programme will graduate with a Graduate Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in addition to their PhD.
The Academy's goal is to ignite creative thinking and to promote constructive team dynamics amongst individual researchers.

UCD PhD students can apply to participate in the first module Creative Thinking & Innovation using our online registration system here.
This module is open to PhD students from all disciplines in UCD and forms part of the Graduate Certificate in Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Academy students take part in workshops, seminars, practical challenges and industry projects. Students take workshops in video production, design challenges and creative problem-solving. This is an intensive programme aimed at introducing students to creative thinking and the basic concepts of entrepreneurship.
For those UCD students who have completed the core modules, you can find out more on our series of optional modules here. These modules will be running throughout the academic year 2011-2012 and the ECTS works towards the completion of the Certificate.

Trinity College Dublin

This module is open to PhD students from all disciplines in Trinity College and forms part of the Graduate Certificate in Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Academy students take part in workshops, seminars, practical challenges and industry projects. Students take workshops in video production, design challenges and creative problem-solving. This is an intensive programme aimed at introducing students to creative thinking and the basic concepts of entrepreneurship.
The Academy also has an active programme of workshops with entrepreneurs and academics, who give invaluable insight into the process of making the leap beyond research.

CALL FOR EXTERNAL ORGANISATIONS

Creative Thinking & Innovation, multi-disciplinary teams of students will embark on a one week intensive short project with the aid of a mentor selected from the public or private sector, with a view of adding value through the focused efforts of a multi-disciplinary research team to these sectors. The projects are designed to promote constructive team dynamics amongst individual researchers. The projects also foster long-term relationships between peers and potential future patrons and employers.
