Following her degree in Management and Information Systems, Mary carved out a career in advertising. She completed a Professional Diploma in Advertising at TU Dublin, and worked her way up the ranks at a leading Dublin ad agency. As an Account Director, bringing a team of various specialisms together taught Mary the value of collaboration. For 15 years, she created advertising magic for the likes of Vodafone, the National Lottery, Brennans, and the Marie Keating Foundation.
When Mary took a break from advertising, she discovered the Innovation Academy’s Postgraduate Certificate in Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. It shook up her mindset and proved a complete game-changer. She didn’t want to leave!
Mary’s personal philosophy is that everybody she meets matters and deserves to be seen and heard. This is central to her approach to recruitment for the Academy. She loves engaging with people’s needs and hopes for the future, providing the information they need to decide their future path.
Mary likes to spend her free time ambling along a quiet beach or lost in the peace of the woods. She’s a huge cinephile, a lifelong tennis player, and finds great joy in family, especially her sister’s children.
