Sionnáin began her marketing career in award-winning Irish advertising agencies Ogilvy and The Public House. Here, she had the experience of managing advertising campaigns across TV, radio, social, digital, and print across a broad range of industries. Clients included; Boots Ireland, Ford Ireland, LGMA, FBD Insurance, 48 Ireland, Bord na Mona, Irish Independent & Sunday Independent. Returning to her roots in 2022, Sionnáin took up a digital marketing position within the UCD Student Recruitment team, driving the university’s undergraduate and postgraduate social channels: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn. 

Now at the Innovation Academy, Sionnáin’s role involves developing digital content for UCD Innovation Academy and Convene, amplifying the stories, achievements, and experiences of our students, staff, alums, and collaboration partners.

Sionnáin is a passionate Gaeilgeoir and a dancer outside of work.

Why I joined the UCD Innovation Academy…

I saw first-hand the positive impact the IA had on close friends who had taken courses at the IA. As a result, I  wanted to be a part of a team that enables people to see their growth potential, and build the confidence needed to achieve their goals, whether that be a career change, a return to work, upskilling for a leadership role, or taking on an entrepreneurial adventure.”
